Fix Grammar
Correct spelling and grammar while preserving wording, tone, formatting, and language.
A Custom AI Action is one instruction you write once and reuse forever. Copy text, run the action from Camel or a shortcut, paste the result — processed on your Mac with Apple Intelligence, or on Apple's Private Cloud Compute when you choose it for that action.

One action, running
The message on the left is what a rushed incident update actually looks like: a missing word, three typos, a tense that never resolves. Copy it, run Fix Grammar, paste it back — the corrections land without the meaning drifting, and the deploy times stay exactly as you wrote them.
Nothing about this needs a network. The instruction and your text are handed to Apple Intelligence on the same Mac, which is why it works on a plane and why an incident message full of internal detail is not a problem.

Hi, I reviewed the latest build. Could you please fix the export issue and send an updated build by Friday? Thank you.
The instruction behind it
Rewrite the text in a polite, professional tone. Keep every fact, request, deadline, and the original language. Return only the rewritten text.
That is the whole action. Camel checks the wording for phrasing that tends to confuse on-device models, and lets you try it on real text before you save it.

Camel ships with ready-made actions for writing, summarizing, developer work, formatting, and communication. Use one as it is, or edit the instruction to match how you actually work.

Turn meeting notes into a checklist of tasks, stated owners, and due dates.
Developer
Describe a change as a concise Conventional Commits subject line.
Communication
Create a short reply that answers each question without inventing missing details.
Formatting
Convert repeated information into a Markdown table while preserving every value.
Where it runs
Every action carries its own setting. Leave it on your Mac and nothing ever leaves the device. Hand it a long thread or a harder instruction, and you can send that one action to Apple's Private Cloud Compute instead.
Free
Apple Intelligence on your own hardware. Works offline, costs nothing, and handles the short and medium text you paste all day.
Pro
Apple's Private Cloud Compute takes far more text in one go — a whole thread, a page of logs — and runs the same instruction on it.
Pro
The same cloud model, asked to think the task through before it answers. For instructions with several steps or rules to follow.
Cloud is never turned on for you. Camel asks before the first cloud run and says exactly what will be sent.
Cloud runs share a daily limit tied to your iCloud account, larger with iCloud+. Camel tells you when you are close to it.
If the cloud is unreachable or the allowance is spent, the failure arrives with a button that runs the action on your Mac.
On-device actions need macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence. Cloud actions need macOS 27 and Camel Pro.
Private by design
Your clipboard text and your action instructions are processed locally by Apple Intelligence. Give one action longer text than the on-device model can take, and you can switch that action to Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which processes it without storing it. Camel never sends anything to its own server or to a third-party AI API.
AI output can vary between runs. Review important results before you use them.
See everything else Camel doesClipboard content stays on your Apple Intelligence-compatible Mac until you set an action to Cloud.
Give an action a global shortcut and run it from the app you are already in.
Run the instruction on sample or clipboard text, read the output, and refine the wording first.
